Abstract
La presente tesi, il cui argomento è la traduzione del racconto La mummia di Stefano Benni, ha come obiettivo principale quello di evidenziare i maggiori problemi legati alla traduzione in croato del racconto partendo dall’esperienza traduttiva stessa. Dopo aver brevemente esposto la vita dell’autore, le informazioni principali riguardanti il racconto in questione e la raccolta Cari mostri di cui fa parte, viene presentata l’analisi del testo di partenza, che offre un quadro di aspetti linguistici, testuali, semantici e stilistici, seguita dall’esposizione dei problemi incontrati durante la traduzione. Infine, viene proposta la traduzione del racconto dall’italiano in croato. L’analisi serve a individuare meglio i potenziali problemi traduttivi e a proporre le soluzioni più adeguate, e fa da introduzione, poi, al commento traduttologico in cui vengono spiegate e giustificate le scelte traduttive operate.
Abstract (english)
In this thesis, with the topic being the translation of the short story La mummia, written by Stefano Beni and published as a part of the collection of stories called Cari mostri, the main goal is to point out some of the major problems related to the translation of the short story into the Croatian language, starting from the translation experience itself. After the short overview of the author’s life and the important information about the short story and the book Cari mostri, the analysis of the original text is presented, offering the range of the linguistic, textual, semantic and stylistic aspects, and underlying some of the problems encountered in the process of translation. After the analysis, there is the translation of the short story from the Italian into the Croatian language. The analysis serves for the easier identification of the potential translation issues and for finding the best solution, in order to introduce the translation commentary in which the best translation choices are explained and justified.
