This diploma thesis represents theoretical and empirical display of attitudes of high school students toward school. Attitudes toward school are examined through school experience, attitudes toward school commitments, attitudes toward teachers and attitudes toward other students. The aim od this thesis was to examine whether there are differences in this attitudes according to gender, grade and school type. The study included 186 examinees from second and fourth grade of two schools - gymnasium and vocational school in Pula. The results have shown how that there are statistically significant differences in school experience among gymnasium and vocational students but there are no statistically significant differences according to gender and grade. There are statistically significant differences among gymnasium and vocational students according to reasons of attending school so as ranking factors of school important factors. According to attitudes toward school commitments, the results have shown that there is statistically significant correlation between second and fourth grade students, but there are no statistically significant correlations between school commitments, gender and school type. The results have shown that second grade students are learning and doing homework more than fourth grade students. Regarding to school type, the results have shown that gymnasium students are better in planning their time to study according to vocational students. Chi - square results have shown that there are statistically significant correlations between students attitudes toward other students and gender, grade and school type. Regarding to students attitudes toward teachers, Chi - square results have shown that there are statistically significant correlations between gender, grade, school type and students attitudes toward teachers.
