| Abstract (english) | The monograph Riječki jezični krajolik 'A linguistic landscape of Rijeka' provides a visual account of Rijeka through public signage. The preliminary sections of the book provide a theoretical and methodological appraisal of the current research literature on linguistic landscapes, both internationally as well as domestically in Croatia. The central sections of the book are structured in a way that is popular- scientific and in these sections there is a rich and wide variety of visual material accompanied by comments. Through an examination of public signage, the identity of a city itself is also examined. |
