Abstract
Odgoj je kompleksan, životan proces izgrađivanja i razvoja čovjeka u skladu s njegovim ljudskim značajkama. Oduvijek se postavljalo pitanje što je to što odgoj čini dobrim, u neizmjernoj želji da se istim stvori intelektualna, moralna, izgrađena i autonomna osoba. Osnovna namjera ovoga diplomskoga rada je prikazati i analizirati aspekte dobrog odgoja postavljenih i promišljenih od najpoznatijih filozofa (odgoja) u povijesti, koji se kreću upravo u smjeru postizanja autonomnosti i slobode u odgoju. Počevši od Sokrata, Platona i Aristotela do novovjekovnih filozofa poput Lockea i Rousseaua pa do suvremenoga „diva“ filozofije odgoja Johna Deweya, pratit ćemo razvitak pojedinih odgojno-obrazovnih metoda i pedagoških pristupa koji su smatrani smjernicama na putu do dobroga odgoja, a neki od njih hvaljeni su i prihvaćeni i danas. U radu će se vidjeti kontinuirani razvoj odgojne misli kroz stoljeća s posebnim naglaskom na razvoju senzibiliteta kao sastavnog dijela ljudske prirode i jednog od glavnih odgojnih svrha posljednjih stoljeća, današnjice, ali i onih koja slijede.
Abstract (english)
Upbringing is a complex, lively process of human development in accordance with human features. The question on what makes a good upbringing has been asked since the beginning of time, stemming from the great wish of raising an intellectual, moral, developed and autonomous person. This thesis aims to present and analyze aspects of good upbringing that aims for autonomy and freedom. The aspects were postulated and contemplated by the most famous philosophers (of education) in history. We will observe the development of certain educational methods and pedagogical approaches which were considered to be guidelines for good upbringing, some of them accepted and praised even today. We will start with Socrates, Plato and Aristotle, continue to Modern age philosophers like Locke and Rousseau, and finish with "the giant" of education philosophy, John Dewey. The thesis will present a continuous development of educational ideas through centuries. The emphasis will be put on the development of sensibility as the key component of human nature and one of the main goals of upbringing in the former centuries, today and the ones that follow.
