specifične skupine posjetitelja, a u praksu ulazi i sve češće povezivanje muzeja s drugim institucijama.
komunikaciju, edukaciju i mogućnost interpretacije muzejskog sadržaja.
Abstract (english) Since its foundation the museum is considered to be a place for storage, preservation and exhibition of valuable items. However, through the long history of humanity this institution has experienced many changes which begin with the museum as the treasury of precious items which evolved into a complex social institution which today interweaves the most diverse segments of life, including those especially valuable, upbringing and education. Since the Mouseion of Hellenistic
period the concept of the museum is associated with inspiration and education, and centuries later Mannerist conception of the museum as a theater of memory will underline the idea of a museum whose space becomes a scene for learning about the history and the world around us. Since the 17th century museums offer official educational programs while educational activities become more and more important. Variety of programs for specific groups of visitors are crated and linking the
museum with other institutions is incresaed. The twentieth century setts new technological and communication challenges for museums to connect with numerous and varied audience. Openness of the museum to the public is expected and it is enhanced by animation function that encourages a dynamic relation between the museum and the public, communication, education and the possibility of interpreting the contents of the museum. Learning in the museum is considered a supplement to learning in school, but on another level of learning. Experiential learning includes mental and
physical activity, and knowledge that comes from it remains in long-term memory. Enrichment of a museum content is possible in many ways, and the practice of museum theater is amongst more interesting ones. It is considered to be an educational collection of theatrical techniques. In addition to frequent programs of living history, a segment of the museum theater, which is not common, but contains a large value, is the drama workshop for children. Maritime and History
Museum of Croatian Littoral Rijeka, as a part of its program Čudotvornica of 2014, introduced the drama workshop Dramci iz Guvera as extracurricular activity and one of its numerous activities for children. The research within this thesis has shown deeply positive impact that drama workshop has on education of young participants. High level of possibility for developing emotional intelligence, as well as linguistic, musical, logical-mathematical, spatial, bodily-kinesthetic, intrapersonal and interpersonal intelligence was connected to drama workshop participants who attend primary school. The research directed towards the participants and the workshop teacher, the audience at the premiere of the play and the employees of the museum has established that the Museum can offer space and content for conducting drama workshops for children if these contents are adapted to the age and if the Museum remains open to this kind of activity. Children also gather
valuable experience and new knowledge, and hopefully will remain loyal museum audience.
