Abstract
Diplomski rad analizira roman Sluškinjina priča Margaret Atwood iz perspektive teorije Michela Foucaulta. Naglasak je stavljen i na žanrovsku odrednicu utopije odnosno distopije te kako Gilead provodi biopolitiku, odnosno biomoć i kako nadzire društvo putem ustrojstva koje je srodno Benthamovom Panoptikonu.
Abstract (english)
Thesis is based on analysis of Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood from the Michael Foucault's point of view. Emphasis is made upon utopian genre entry and actual dystopia, thus how does state apparatus of Gilead performs biopolitics or biopower, as well as the control of the society through structure that is akin to Bentham's Panopticon.
