The aim of this study was to examine the effects of degree of kinship and participiants perspective on the accuracy and speed in Wason cheater detection tasks and the relationship of the personal norm of reciprocity with the accuracy on Wason cheater detection tasks. The study included 98 participiants (75 women and 23 men) 18 to 27 years old. The research was carried out in the Limesurvey website. The participiants tasks were to solve 24 Wason cheater detection tasks and to fill out the Personal Norm of Reciprocity (PNR) scale. The data obtained was analyzed by two two-way ANOVAs (3x2) with repeated measures on both factors and by Pearson correlations. The respondents were more accurate but slower in solving Wason tasks when they were a victim of a fraud in the task than when they weren't victims. Additionally, participiants were most accurate in solving Wasons tasks when they shared proportion of 0.25 genes but they were the slowest in solving the tasks in which the cheater was the participiants closest relative. The significant interaction of the effects of the degree of kinship and perspective on both accuracy and speed of task solving showed that the participiants were the most accurate and the slowest on the Wason tasks in which they were the victim of fraud, and shared a proportion of genes of 0.25 with the cheater. On the other hand, when the respondents were not victims of fraud in the task, the kinship degree had no significant effect on the accuracy, but the reaction time was the longest for the tasks in which the cheater was the closest relative. The results obtained imply that the respondents detected cheaters when they estimated that it was more likely that this person would actually be a cheater in a realistic situation. In the end, less accurate cheater detection of participiants with higher negative reciprocity implies that people who are less likely to detect cheaters in the environment are more prone to revenge, which could be a strategy in which once the cheater is successfully detected, he is more strongly sanctioned and / or excluded from the group.
